Donation Policy

Thank you for supporting Sand n Straw Foundation. Your generosity helps expand access to outdoor education, scholarships, regenerative farming education, and community programs. Every contribution helps further our mission of connecting children, families, and our community with nature through hands-on learning.
Tax-Deductible Contributions
Sand n Straw Foundation is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
Donations are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law. Donors should consult their tax advisor regarding the deductibility of their contributions.
How Donations Are Used
Unless otherwise designated by the donor, contributions are considered unrestricted and may be used where the need is greatest to support the Foundation's charitable mission, including:
Educational scholarships
Outdoor learning programs
Educational gardens and orchards
Farm-based educational experiences
Community outreach and educational initiatives
Program materials and supplies
General operating support that advances the Foundation's mission
Restricted gifts will be used for the purpose designated by the donor whenever reasonably possible.
Donation Receipts
A receipt acknowledging your contribution will be provided for all eligible donations. Please retain your receipt for your tax records.
Refund Policy
Sand n Straw Foundation greatly appreciates every charitable contribution.
If you believe a donation was made in error, please contact us within 30 days of the donation date. Refund requests will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
Approved refunds will be issued using the original method of payment whenever possible.
Monthly Giving
Recurring donations may be changed or canceled at any time by contacting us or by using the options provided through the recurring giving platform, if applicable.
Donor Privacy
Sand n Straw Foundation respects the privacy of every donor.
We do not sell, rent, trade, or share donor information with third parties for marketing purposes. Donor information is used only for processing contributions, providing tax receipts, communicating about our mission, and fulfilling legal obligations.

Securities and Planned Giving
The Foundation may accept certain non-cash gifts, including securities or planned gifts, at its discretion. Please contact us before making these types of contributions so we can discuss the appropriate process.
